And I never thought I’d be doing this work.
I am incredibly logical, grounded and a hustler. I didn’t realise this was my true path until I started to uncover who I am, not what I thought others praised me for or thought I was valuable for.
Growing up, I was a very sensitive, very shy child who noticed everything.
Before I knew what intuition was, I would simply know things without logical reasoning. But instead of trusting that sensitivity as my guide, I eventually learned to use it to anticipate other people — to read the room, manage their reactions and figure out who I needed to be in that moment.
Over the last two years, I have trained my intuition and learned how to use that same sensitivity differently: to identify root causes, understand the energy behind a problem and help people see what needs to change.
I like to say I illuminate.

BEFORE
I did this work on myself first.
My transformation
Not including the physical ailments I’ve healed, including allergies, pain, skin issues, sickness and more.
Before
Now
I was independent, almost to a fault. I put myself in unnecessarily painful, stressful situations, full of tears, that could have been far easier if I’d asked for help. Instead, I was fearful I’d inconvenience others.
I’m still independent. But now, I ask for help. Asking for help doesn’t mean I’m incapable or less valuable. I’m not scared of inconveniencing others, because my self-image is so much higher.
When a decision or a hard conversation involved other people, I’d forget to ask myself: what do I want here? It wouldn’t even cross my mind. I’d stress deeply over the best solution, but what was best for me was never a part of it, because it was never, ever considered.
I make decisions that include what I want, instead of only conducting a full survey of everyone else’s possible feelings about it first.
I took pride in how rarely I cried at films, and how I never got angry, sad or stressed. (Joke’s on me, I was so chronically stressed, I didn’t notice it anymore or recognise it as such.)
I have now learned how to feel an emotion without being swallowed by it. I let myself feel things now. I cry. I feel safe being vulnerable with my partner and allowing myself to be supported.
I always felt like I wasn’t doing enough. Time would pass, and I’d look at the clock and feel like what I was working on wasn’t enough. Fast enough, completed enough. Even though I was making progress. It was never enough until it was done. And once it was done, I was already focused on the next thing. Cue the self-induced stress.
My productivity and output are no longer the only source of my value. I actively practise feeling like every aligned step forward is enough. I know how to regulate myself when I feel especially triggered.

Even relationships that once triggered me feel different because I am no longer meeting them as the prior version of myself.
This can happen for you too.
